I enjoy learning from like minded specialists and bringing aspects of what I learn back into my Pilates practice. Kit Laughlin was a charismatic very well informed teacher with excellent theoretical and practical knowledge to offer.

About Kit Laughlin

Kit Laughlin is one of the world’s authorities on the subject of stretching.

Reviews which influenced me to train with Kit Laughlin

The Former Australian Test Cricket Captain

“Kit Laughlin has been involved with the South Australian Cricket Association elite player programs for the past 3 seasons. In that time, he has developed a strength and flexibility program that is the leading edge in the cricket arena.

Apart from developing a strength program that addresses the unique needs of the various skills within the game, Kit has introduced a stretching and flexibility program that been a revelation to players. This program has contributed to a greater flexibility and muscle strength in each individual that has led to improved performance in balance, physical awareness and endurance. It has also contributed to the lower incidence of muscle and related injuries.

I have no doubt that the work Kit has done in the area of strength, stretching and flexibility would be of benefit to any individual involved at any level of sport and would be applicable to any sporting endeavour.

I have no hesitation in recommending Kit and the methods that he has developed to anyone who wishes to maximise their physical abilities and to aid the prevention of or recovery from injury brought on through training for and playing sport”.

The Pilates Teacher

…..I’m going to use the specifics of Kit Laughlin’s Stretch Teacher Training workshop because it’s an opportunity for you to learn from the world’s leading flexibility expert, and his work will revolutionize your ability to help tight clients………”Speaking of Kit, I believe that his work is the missing flexibility link in historic Pilates. Many clients do too many things that make them tight and too few things to offset that tightness and they need much more help with flexibility training than we as Pilates teachers can provide. Adding Kit’s work, a/k/a as contract/release or PNF stretching, to your scope of practice will help you deliver those tight clients to a state of functional comfort and heightened performance – PNF delivers maximum results in minimum time.

And, the thing that separates Kit’s work from other types of PNF is that he has created a safe and easy to perform stretch for every single muscle in the body. Using the floor, walls, door frames and our own body weight, he covers it all. His books are fabulous tools – he’s the only educator I’ve found who teaches a protocol for discovering and working with pelvic obliquities and leg length differences – but you’ve really got to experience Kit in person to begin to understand the power of his method. The quality of Kit’s content and his presentation style are the absolute best I’ve experienced and my frame of reference is broad: I’ve spent tens of thousands of dollars, years of time and learned from many different educators at all levels of education.

Kit’s work will dramatically improve your Pilates practice and your teaching.”
